Hernandez Recommended as New City Manager
Savannah Mayor Eddie DeLoach and members of city council on Thursday announced that they are recommending that Broward County, Fla., assistant county manager Rob Hernandez be hired as Savannah’s next city manager.
DeLoach said the consensus among the city council is “unanimous” in Hernandez's selection.
Hernandez has been assistant county manager in Broward County since 2013. He previously served as a deputy county manager in Fulton County, Ga.
City Council will vote Sept. 1 on whether or not to hire Hernandez to replace current City Manager Stephanie Cutter.
